The problem
Air-conditioner pumps must survive 1000 hours of continuous running without flow degradation and still hit their head-flow curve. Splitting performance and life testing across two rigs breaks the data chain, and queueing twenty samples through a single life rig ties the lab up for weeks.
Capability
The bench arranges 20 life-ageing stations back-to-back with 2 performance stations. Life stations run 1000h continuously at 1.15x rated voltage and rated head; afterwards electrical performance, pump structure and fastener condition are checked against a flow-degradation limit of 10%. Performance stations auto-sweep the set points Qn, 0.9Qn and 1.1Qn at 0.1MPa differential, plotting the head-flow curve and logging voltage, current and power. Electrical acquisition covers AC 0-400V, 0-5A and 0-2000W at 0.5 class per station; flow 0-20L/min by ultrasonic meter better than 1% accuracy; test head 0-30m on 0-5bar sensors. Run and dwell times to 999999s settable, 1-999999 cycles live display; every station carries a flow switch, and current limits plus flow signals give dual fault judgment. The 304-stainless tank (1.5mm) auto-tops up, G1 and G1/2 pump ports, and after a power cut data survives and testing resumes. Twenty life stations share one 10kW 50-400V variable supply; performance stations have independent 1kVA units.
